FAQ

Do the signal boosters work on Analogue? Yes. They work on Analogue, CDMA, GSM, and TDMA.
How does the Wireless compare to the Direct-Connect signal booster? The wireless in-vehicle signal boosters are as powerful, or more powerful, than the direct connect.
This power diminishes as the phone moves further away from the internal antenna.
Is the signal booster increasing the amount of "cell phone radiation" in the area? No, signal boosters do the opposite-they reduce the amount of cell phone radiation in the area of
the user by taking the signal away from the user through the outside antenna.
Are the antennas sufficient for outdoor use? Yes.
Where should I install the signal booster? Closer to the external antenna or closer to the internal antenna? Low signal areas=closer to the external
antenna, shadowing environments that require attenuation=closer to the internal antenna.
My signal booster is warm, is that a problem? No, this is standard operation.
What do the lights on the signal booster mean? The lights indicate the power output of the amp. They indicate if the amp is stepping down its power in
order to work effectively with the cell site. Lights can also indicate a problem with antenna separation,
and are used to help correct the problem.
Can mag mount/glass mount antennas be used for in-building installs? Yes, but they are less effective and would require an adapter to attach to the amp and cabling.
What is a smart signal booster? A smart signal booster is one that gauges the signal in the area and if necessary, reduces the signal
gain in order to work properly with CDMA cell sites. This is very important to our CDMA networks
(Bell, Telus, Sasktel, MTS, and Aliant).
